Therapist for People Pleasing

Looking for Someone Who Actually Gets It?

I'm Jennifer, a therapist for people pleasing, over-giving, and the exhaustion that comes with it. And if you landed on this page, I'd bet there's a part of you that's been waiting to find someone who gets it before you say a word.

Women Who Are Done Surviving and Ready to Live Differently

Perfectly Imperfect Counseling Services was built for the woman who has given everything to everyone around her and is starting to wonder if there’s anything left for herself.

She doesn’t need more coping strategies. She needs a therapist who will sit with her in the hard parts, help her understand where her patterns come from, and work with her body, her nervous system, and her real life to build something that actually feels different.

That’s the work here.

I Know What It Costs to Keep Functioning When You’re Running on Empty

I know the specific weight my clients carry before they say a word. The high-achieving woman who looks like she has it together and is terrified that one honest conversation will prove she doesn’t. The woman who has been so busy being strong for everyone else that she genuinely doesn’t know who she is outside of her roles. The first-generation achiever who has built something incredible and can’t figure out why she still feels guilty for wanting more. I’ve sat with all of them.

And I already understand the context.

I became a therapist because I grew up watching people around me carry things in silence. The weight of being the strong one. The exhaustion of holding a family together while holding yourself together at the same time. I didn’t have the language for it then, but I understood it in my body. Therapy gave me that language, and I’ve spent the last seven years helping other women find theirs.

What Working With a Therapist for People Pleasing Looks Like………

We Start With Your Body, Not Just Your Thoughts

Most therapy stays in the head. I don’t. Before we can work through a pattern, your nervous system has to feel safe enough to do that work. That’s where breathwork, body scans, and movement come in. We slow down long enough to hear what your body is already trying to tell you.

We Get Curious About Your Patterns, Not Just Your Problems

When you keep ending up in the same situations, there’s a reason. We use a parts-based approach to understand what’s driving the patterns, where those parts came from, and what they actually need. That understanding is what makes the change stick.

You’ll Leave With Something Real

You won’t just feel heard. You’ll leave with language for what you’re experiencing, tools you can actually use between sessions, and a clearer sense of what’s happening underneath the surface.

Work That Meets You Where You Are

Virtual sessions can happen in the chair, on the mat, or outside when that’s what the moment calls for. If you’re in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, or South Carolina, I can meet you wherever you are virtually, and I can follow you if your life moves between these states.
