Fully Licensed Clinicians Job Description 

 

Position Overview

  • Position Type: W-9 Contractor

  • Location: Remote / Telehealth (Georgia clients only)

  • Availability for 6–10 clinical hours/week, with an opportunity for increased hours (preference for availability across 3–4 days, including evening or weekend hours).

Requirements

  • Fully licensed to practice in Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program

  • Meet all necessary state licensure requirements

  • Ability to provide services virtually (telehealth only)

  • Maintain professional liability insurance and access to a HIPAA-compliant workspace

  • Counselors credentialed with insurance panels are a plus, but not required

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Has a working knowledge of various trauma-informed therapeutic modalities (e.g., IFS, DBT, Somatic Work) to meet the unique needs of each client

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Can make tough decisions and have difficult conversations when needed.

  • Can independently complete intake assessments, DSM-5-TR-aligned diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans

  • Has the desire to build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships that align with the mission and vision of Perfectly Imperfect Counseling Services, LLC.

  • Is confident and comfortable providing services via telehealth to clients who are appropriate for virtual care

  • Is experienced in or open to providing individual therapy to women, teen girls

  • Is open to co-leading or facilitating virtual therapy groups or support circles

  • Can work independently while staying connected and engaged with the team

  • Values cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and ethical, client-centered practice

  • Seeks professional growth and ongoing development through supervision, continuing education, and certification

  • Has initiative in marketing their services to grow a sustainable caseload, in addition to receiving referrals through the practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy (with emphasis on women and teen girls)

  • Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation in a timely and ethical manner using our electronic health record system

  • Apply evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive interventions

  • Facilitate or co-lead therapy groups (as needed or based on interest)

  • Attend team meetings, trainings, and participate in ongoing supervision

  • Communicate and coordinate care with outside providers or community stakeholders when needed

  • Support outreach events, workshops, or marketing-related opportunities

  • Participate in grant-supported or community-based therapy programs (as applicable)

  • Maintain compliance with all ethical, legal, and licensing standards

●    Must reside in Georgia and be licensed (or license-eligible) to practice in GA

BSW and MSW Interns Job Description 

 

The BSW or MSW Intern will support the mission of Perfectly Imperfect Counseling Services by contributing to client care, community initiatives, and administrative tasks under the guidance of a licensed clinical supervisor. 


MSW interns will have the opportunity to engage in clinical responsibilities aligned with their program level and school requirements. BSW interns will focus on support, outreach, and observation roles relevant to social work practice foundations.
Interns will gain practical experience in trauma-informed care, mental health support, ethical documentation, and the inner workings of a virtual group practice.


Who We’re Looking For
●    Current enrollment in a BSW or MSW program with eligibility for field placement
●    Reside in GA, FL, NC, or SC with school approval for a remote internship
●    Strong interest in working with women and teen girls from diverse backgrounds
●    Able to manage time independently and communicate reliably in a virtual setting
●    Open to feedback, reflective practice, and collaboration

MSW Intern Responsibilities May Include:
●    Lead and co-lead group therapy sessions via telehealth and in person.
●    Maintain and file accurate records within a clinical environment.
●    Become familiar with the DSM-5-TR and diagnostic criteria for various mental health conditions.
●    Complete clinical documentation such as SOAP notes, assessments, and treatment plans within the electronic health record system. 
●    Provide administrative support for the site supervisor and/or clinical supervisor..
●    Maintain appropriate paperwork, client charts, and documentation.
●    Contact potential referrals and update referral resources as needed.
●    Conduct consultation calls with potential clients. 
●    Attend required meetings, trainings, supervision, and clinical team gatherings.
●    Complete designated professional development and training.
●    Identify and utilize agency resources for assigned tasks and projects.
●    Participate in outreach events and initiatives, as applicable

BSW Intern Responsibilities May Include:
●    Lead and co-lead group therapy or support sessions via telehealth and in person with identified partner organizations.
●    Maintain and file accurate records and assist in managing a caseload under supervision.
●    Become familiar with the DSM-5-TR and its role in understanding common mental health diagnoses.
●    Learn how to complete documentation such as SOAP notes, assessments, and treatment plans under supervision.
●    Provide administrative support to the site supervisor and/or clinical supervisor.
●    Observe and/or shadow licensed clinicians during group sessions and/or meetings.
●    Maintain appropriate documentation and client records.
●    Contact and update referral resources as needed.
●    Participate in required meetings, staff training, and supervision.
●    Assist in organizing and supporting EmpowerHer Teen Collective. 
●    Contribute to various agency-related tasks and community projects.
●    Complete professional development activities and training designated by the practice.

●    Internship is unpaid and eligible for course credit from the enrolled college or university

●    Weekly schedule based on university requirements and availability
